Spectacular sea views and incredible sunsets…
Overcombe is a spectacular property, virtually rebuilt, commanding the best views over Bigbury on Sea, Bantham and Burgh Island in the beautiful South Hams of Devon. It is a fantastic base for visiting the beautiful and highly popular towns of Salcombe, Dartmouth, Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo.
With a sweeping decking and terrace wrapping around most of the property, Overcombe is an awe-inspiring retreat. All on one floor, this property is excellent for all generations of the family: five beautifully furnished bedrooms – all with en-suite wet rooms – enjoy beautiful views over the sea and the surrounding rolling countryside.
Immaculately furnished and finished to the highest specification, this beautiful house is equipped with the latest in audio-visual technology, including a SONOS wireless music system in the main living areas. It also has a separate games room with pool table, football table and exercise bike with a TV screen!
Whether planning a family vacation, looking for a quiet escape or in need of something completely unique for a special occasion, you’ll find that Overcombe ticks all the boxes. Particularly perfect for hosting dinner parties, the open plan kitchen and dining area features plate glass on three sides, really allowing that sensational panoramic view to steal the show.
The house certainly has the WOW factor and is ideal for a ‘getaway’ kind of holiday. Easily fit for a family break with 10 adults which this stunning house can easily accommodate. The open space is fantastic for maintaining a vibe with everyone whatever you are doing – eating, cooking, relaxing on the bean bags or just sitting by the fire. The view from the main room is spectacular – we could check out the surf from the sofa!
The fixtures are such a high standard as were the bedrooms and other facilities.
It’s great location meant we could nip to Padstow or the beach with a 10 min drive.
An excellent place to stay and we will certainly be going back.
A little about Bigbury on Sea…
Tucked away in the hamlet of Bigbury, this beach offers everything the holiday maker could desire … life guards to ensure safe swimming, beautiful views of Burgh Island, a stream for kids to paddle in, coffee & tea stand on the beach, loos, surf school, paddle boat, wet suit & kayak hire, the Venus Beach cafe, a shop and car parking. If you want to avoid the crowds and are prepared to walk, then turn left off the slipway and follow the coast round for a spot overlooking Bantham beach and the River Avon estuary.
