Melanie’s Favourite Eye Skincare Products

If the eyes are the window to the soul, then we damn sure want those windows to look sparkly and bright! Just like the rest of your skin, your eyes need a bit of tlc to always look their best, and using products designed specifically for eyes can give them the helping hand they need, thanks to their calming, dark circle reducing and wrinkle minimising properties.

Carol Joy Collagen Eye Mask, £80 for a pack of 4

These individually wrapped pair of gauze eye masks are utterly brilliant. Imagine one of those fruit corner yoghurts, except here it’s activating lotion not fruit. Simply place them under your eyes and leave for a minimum of 15 minutes.

It’s a pure collagen ‘eye lift’ that replenishes depleted levels of moisture, giving your eyes a smoother appearance. This is no baloney! It works!

Yup, this is pricey, but it does tackle all the things we do not want under our eyes: puffiness, dark circles, fine lines, wrinkles and dryness.

It feels luxurious because it is.

Packed with peptides, this cream helps skin rebuild its own layers and increases cell turnover. This product has a strong work ethic and with regular use, it will reduce wrinkles puffiness and dark circles, leaving that youthful look we all desire.

This is beautifully packaged, as always. It has a tear drop shaped applicator that can rotate 360 degrees for easy application.

It’s more of a lotion than a cream and I’m not sure if I am supposed to, but I put it in the fridge so it’s always fresh and cold on application.

This is a quick acting priming serum, that claims to reduce wrinkles by up to 16% in 15 minutes and up to 42% in 6 weeks. Over a short period of use, I found that this serum definitely improved the quality of the skin under my eyes.

It contains 99% type 1 collagen, as well as argan oil, which plumps the skin and adds moisture to improves elasticity.

This product delivers in spades!

Good Old Cucumber, approx 45p

I recently had a crazy bout of hay fever and my eyes were in pieces. They were so itchy, that I had resorted to brutally rubbing them, with absolutely no regard for my poor, thin under eye skin. I decided to give them some relief and used cucumber.

I knew cucumber worked, because when I was a teenager, these cheap beauty treatments were a must.

Well, it cooled my eyes right down, seemed to make them less puffy and gave me a refreshed look.
