Melanie Sykes Face Mask Reviews- Peel off Mask

Face masks are the ultimate indulgence in skin care and I like to use one at least once a week. I have been trying out a few different ones lately and I thought I would share my five favourites with you.

ELEMIS -Papaya enzyme peel £32

Packed with natural fruit enzymes, exfoliating papaya and calming pineapple, this mask smooths and clarifies your complexion. Its a fruit salad for your face!

Just apply an even layer over the skin and leave for 15-20 mins, I’ve been using this for many years and it delivers every time. It purifies, revitalises and smooths your skin. It’s packed with milk protein, antioxidants, vitamin E & marine algae too. It helps my skin look brighter, actually changing the colour of it, creating a healthy glow. It’s brilliant.

Crystal clear -10 minute Glow £7.99

This mask does exactly what it says on the tin! It has active ingredients for a deep cleanse, perfect for congested skin. I find that if I have had a heavy make up week, this is the one to use. It’s a good old fashioned peel off with industrial strength.

Now, if like me, your face is as furry as a tennis ball in places, it can be a little painful on the removal, so I just dampen a cloth to get rid of those bits. But, on the whole, it’s a very satisfying peel off. When you peel it off, you can see your pores imprinted on the discarded face mask and it really is a seriously deep clean, leaving your face bright and beautiful.

BIO – Miracle Super Aqua Collagen essence mask (pack of 10) £70

This is the new generation of face masks. Each mask is individually wrapped in a sachet that has been soaked in collagen essence heaven, plant stem cells, Q10 and hyaluronic acid to moisturise and rejuvenate.
No mess, no fuss, just relax for 20 minutes with the sheet mask on and enjoy the cooling vibes of the all the goodness absorbing into your skin. Don’t wash off the residue when you’re finished, just allow it to continue absorbing into the skin.

Your skin will feel firmer after application, but I do think they are a little pricey.

Carol Joy – lifting mask £75

This mask immediately feels luxurious and its not just the seduction of the beautiful packaging, but also the quality of the product. The creamy mousse consisting of kaolin, rice starch and millet is smoothed over face and neck for 5-10 mins. It feels so soft on your fingertips and the application is so smooth. Take the time to just chill with the mask on and enjoy the warming relaxation. When the time is up, remove with cloth and warm water.

After using this product, my skin was visibly different and my complexion looked warmer and invigorated.

Montagne Juenesse 7th heaven – face mask sachet £1.29

Well, these took me right back to my teenage years when I used to get a similar free sachet in my Jackie or Blue Jeans Magazine. They are really fun and come in all different forms. Boots were doing an offer 3 for 2 offer, so I picked up Dead Sea Mud, Manuka Honey Peel Off and Cool Cucumber, but there are many more.

The cucumber was extremely cooling and after 15 mins peeled off easily and brightened my previously dull skin. I Highly recommend them for sticking in your holiday suitcase and if you are on a budget, they are rather fabulous.
